The catduo Pim & Pom have always been very popular; and still are. If you don't know them from all the differend adventurebooks, then you will probably know them from their own animationseries on television; the adventures of Pim & Pom. It all started in the late 50's with articles from Mies Bouhuys for the children's page of the Dutch magazine "Parool". There Pim & Pom made their first, particularly special entrance; two cats with an ellipse-shaped head, on a relatively long neck and with short paws. The illustrations are naturally by Fiep Westendorp. Nowadays, the adventures are all bundled together in "Het grote Pim & Pom voorleesboek" and they shine in their own movie and animationseries on the NPO.
